Chapter XXI - Love Hurts

Dragons, Underworlds, what has the world had turned into? It’s not like each one of those type of person is aftering me, unless they wanted something from me though. What would possibly they want from me? Was it the blood, power, child, or a weapon? I’m going to have a bad scenes throughout the world.

Somewhere near Nevada, Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries and soldiers had gather around a genetic lab, called System Corps. They have been making weaponry soldiers, but mostly in genetic ways. Turning people to clones to weapons to advance use of super weapons. They have been a corporation for over ten years already. They were working four experiments so far, but the others were turned out to be a cloned troopers.

A genetic scientist had came into the office. “Mr. Johnson, I believe that two of our experiments had turned successfully into superior weapons. Unfortunately, one of them escaped from the cells and had killed our advance robotic security chief, Poseidon. We had sent most of the mercenaries to stop experiment 154, or as he called himself, ‘Brandon’, but nothing had worked at all. All the mercenaries that we had sent to stop it, was dead instantly, all of them. Apparently, another of our top mercenary leader was dead, known to be as project Zeus.

“As we all know that bio-weapon 154 was very deadly to all opposes with weapons.” Mr. Johnson turned towards the scientist. “Have you sent bio-weapon 153? He is the advance vehicle combatant pilot experiment.” The scientist nodded, but looked down. “Again, he was dead from the Russian Hind combat helicopter collision. Bio-weapon 154 had destroyed the fuel line of the Hind and drove off to find our final bio-weapon experiment. Project Hades.

“But the reports about Project Hades is halfway done. We needed a human person that can be use as a host.” Both of them stopped and think. “I guess we’re going have to pick a random person then. If it’s a teenager, then it wouldn’t matter. Little children are not worth it for Project Hades. Who do you have in mind to use Project Hades on?” said Mr. Johnson. The scientist pulled out a profile of the person.

“A girl?” said Mr. Johnson and the scientist nodded. “But we do have another person that can handle this kind of project. But again, it will be very difficult to get ‘him’ to use the project. That’s why we will use the girl as Project Hades instead.” Mr. Johnson turned around. “We might as well use the girl then. After all, it’s not like ‘he’ would be the girl’s boyfriend anyways. Capture the girl and place Project Hades in her…immediately.” The scientist nodded and left the office.

In school, it was lunch time, two hours before 3:05, which is the time we leave school. I had a hidden Desert Eagle pistol on my right lower leg. I sat by myself, nothing to eat and look out for any trouble, but several kids came by, four boys and two girls. Their names were Michael, Evan, Jake, Samantha, and Brenda. They call Samantha, Sam for short. “Hey, you must be that kid that saved our school from that whatever that thing is,” Evan said. I didn’t say anything for a couple seconds. “Well, you could say that, Evan. What you guys want from me anyways?” I asked. “We’re here to sit by you, we’re not going to let you sit by your damn self.” As they all sat down around the table and Brenda sat right next to me.

“So, your not going to eat anything?” asked Brenda and I shook my head. “Well, goddamn it was crazy like a week ago about what happen,” said Jake. “That was some crazy stuff right there,” said Michael and he laughed. “Well, anyways, Kevin you might as well had to move to another town or something before something really crazy is going happen to you again,” said Brenda. “Well, it wouldn’t matter I still got another couple days or a week to move anyways,” I said and continued on. “All I know is your guys’ protection. I never wanted you guys to get hurt. After all, you guys are, well, my friends, right?” They looked at me and nodded.

Brenda’s cheek turned red and grabbed my arm. “Kevin, we need to talk privately.” She dragged me to the janitor’s closet. “Brenda?! What are you-” She then kissed me.
